Hi, I’m Kayden…

I’m an audio engineer and the founder of Mid//Side Recording Studio.

My work spans recording, mixing, mastering, immersive audio, and technical audio workflows.
Whether working remotely, on-site, or in professional studio environments, my focus remains the same:

Understand the intent of the performance. Elevate it through thoughtful engineering. Deliver work that translates.

Services

Recording

Recording services for artists, ensembles, voice talent, and production projects. Sessions can be conducted remotely, on-site, or at facilities selected to best serve the project’s needs.

Mixing

Stereo mixing focused on clarity, balance, translation, and emotional impact. Every mix is approached to preserve the intent of the performance while ensuring it connects across a wide range of listening environments.

Mastering

Preparation and optimization for streaming, distribution, physical media, and archival delivery. Each master is carefully evaluated to ensure consistency, translation, and long-term reliability across playback environments.

Dolby Atmos

Immersive audio production and spatial mixing for modern listening environments. From music releases to multimedia experiences, Dolby Atmos provides new opportunities to create depth, movement, and engagement for listeners.

Consultation

Production workflow development, technical guidance, session design, and audio systems planning. Whether refining an existing process or building a workflow from the ground up, the goal is to create efficient, reliable systems that support the creative and technical needs of each project.

The Mid//Side Approach

Mid Side Recording was founded on a simple idea:

Great engineering begins with listening.

The name itself comes from the Mid-Side microphone technique, a method that captures both center and perspective.
That balance has become the guiding philosophy behind my work.

Every routing choice, edit, automation pass, processing decision, and workflow should support the project’s intent.
I believe audio should translate across environments, convey emotion, and retain its character wherever it is heard.

Before asking how something should sound, I ask a different question:

“What is this piece trying to say?”

The answer guides everything that follows.

Built For Collaboration

Every project is different.

Some begin with a finished mix needing a final master.
Others start with a recording session, a restoration challenge, or an immersive audio concept.

Rather than forcing projects into a predefined workflow, I work with clients to build a process that supports the material’s creative and technical needs.

Whether you’re preparing a release, exploring immersive audio, or planning a recording project, I’d love to hear about it.
